I’m super excited to announce that Geoff Smith is going to be performing at OpenCamp! A lot of you will know him and have enjoyed his music, and if you don’t know his name, you’ve probably heard his jingles. He’s an amazingly talented musician who made his mark on the new media world by creating jingles for different podcasters. Some examples are Drobo, iJustine, and TWiT. He’s also written and performed songs that make geeks dance, like Digg the Code.
Geoff has been known to draw quite the crowd during one of his live streams. It’s pretty incredible to watch Geoff play the piano, sing, take requests from the chatroom (he knows pretty much every song ever made) and in addition to that, watch the chatroom explode with excitement.
Even if you don’t know him, you’ll have a great time at the OpenCamp concert. He puts on a great show! It’ll be Saturday evening and everyone attending OpenCamp is invited!
If you’re staying at the Crowne Plaza (cheap rates!), you’ll also be invited to continue the party after Geoff is done for some more fun and networking.

I first heard of Geoff via that Christmas party, and then I noticed my buddy, Mark, interviewed him recently for his podcast: http://www.masonworld.com/podcast/mw009-the-future-of-the-podcast-and-interview-with-geoff-smith/ And he also made him a JAMMIN’ new jingle for it! It was very interesting, though, to learn about how his path led him to where he is today!
That concert will be awesome! :)
