DrupalCamp Dallas Update
Posted on: 29th July 2010 by David Hahn
Howdy there Campers. Thought I would update you on the state of DrupalCamp Dallas 2010 at OpenCamp.
As of July 29, with OpenCamp a month out we have:
- 30 scheduled Drupal sessions with 30 unique speakers from Texas and all over the country
- two simultaneous Drupal tracks- one for webmasters & community builders, and one for developers
- a “CMS Showcase” where we’ll show off what WordPress, Drupal and Joomla! are all about
- Jay Batson, co-founder of Acquia speaking
- Doug Vann, International Man of Drupal speaking
- a tentative schedule posted on the OpenCamp site (we are still moving some sessions around, so don’t plan your session-viewing quite yet)
- dozens and dozens of giveaways arriving at OpenCamp HQ, from Drupal books to expensive software packages (not-Drupal)
We’re going to have some very unique sessions at DrupalCamp Dallas, on topics you may not have heard at other DrupalCamps, such as:
- “Drupal as a Digital Repository”
- “Build Your Social Website Quickly with Drupal Gardens” (with the winner of the Acquia Drupal Gardens Design Competition)
- “Designing Large Scale Drupal Environments”
- “Debugging Techniques for Drupal”
- “Multi-Departmental Authoring in Drupal”
- “Drupal Commons- a New Drupal Distribution from Acquia” (from a member of the Drupal Commons development team)
.. and many more great Drupal sessions. Hopefully you have already signed up, but if not- get on it now! DrupalCamp is guaranteed to be a life-changing experience*.
See you at DrupalCamp Dallas 2010 at OpenCamp! By the way, I used the word “Drupal” 21 times in this post. Er, 22 times.
