Check out the .NET Track at OpenCa.mp
Posted on: 22nd August 2010 by Shawn Weisfeld
In addition to all the great content being presented during the combined tracks at OpenCamp, the .NET track will offer attendees some insight into what is available on the .NET platform. So what is .NET you ask, it consists of three things a runtime, a set of libraries and a set of development frameworks and technologies. Developers using .NET have built everything from Match.com to enterprise business applications to mobile apps and even applications to control robots. However for OpenCamp we are going to focus on three areas content management systems (CMS) built on .NET, free/open source .NET tools/solutions and building mobile apps with .NET.
Each day we are going to have a spotlight presentation. On Saturday Chris Koenig, our local Microsoft Developer Evangelist, will be giving us an overview of the soon to be released Windows Phone 7. Our spotlight session on Sunday will be Caleb Jenkins talking about free and open source software resources available from Microsoft. If those spotlight sessions were not cool enough we have filled the rest of our sessions with information about a few of the many content management packages available on the .NET platform. We will have three sessions on DotNetNuke, two on Sitefinity and one on mojoPortal. Oh, I almost forgot, everyone registering for the .NET Track will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE copy of Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate with MSDN a $11,899 value.
If you have any questions about the .NET Track feel free to contact us.
See Ya @ OpenCa.mp!
